Its soooo hot!!!

This is the view outside our beach house. When I took this picture it had cooled down to 75 it was 81. We are in Siesta key FL. just south of Sarasota.
Julie is making ponckas in keeping with the tradition.
I'm going to try to catch a manatee...mmmm nothing like fresh grilled manatee.

  1. Fantastique! I wish I were there... But, I guess I can't complain. There's no snow on the ground here, the Snowdrops are in bloom as is the Winter Jasmine, and spring is just around the corner. In another week and a half we'll be on our way to Austin, TX for a gig and a little R&R.

BTW, we have a friends who have a house where you are. They live in Alaska but they're always travelling and his mom lives down in Florida.

Thanks for the post and have a GREAT time down there!!

  3. Enjoy,......mother nature is waiting for you back here in Wisconsin!! The thermometer has crept up to a balmy 15 below zero this morning.
I'll bet the eclipse looked great from the beach.

  4. We didn't get to see the whole eclipse but we got glimses of it through the clouds, it was a bit chilly too, I think it got down to 64. It was 84 today. We watched a pod of dolphins swim by while we ate at Harpoon Harrys, which is an open air resturant in Punta Gorda. Its fun but I'm really looking forward to getting back to Wisconsin...NOT!!!

On my vacation I ate too much, drank too much, and stayed in the sun too much --- it was fabulous!!! I would go again in a heartbeat.Mom
